Ping pong...
Ping-a-pong... ding-a-dong... sing-a-song...
I have been ping ponging since few days. Before joining intoto i wondered how they play on a small board with light weighted ball and a mini bat. But having only two options, one being carroms and the other being table tennis i was confined to only these entertainments in my office. At the beginning i used to play TT but as the TT association was huge i slipped from TT to carroms. Those days i haven't got chance to play as there were lot of TT enthusiasts and even if i got one chance in 10 tries, i used to fail as the opponents were experienced. So jumped in to carroms and within no time ruled the boards. It gained me lot of confidence ( sometimes over confidence ). Starting i was stumbling to play with big big people. But later, instead of concentrating on opponents i started concentrating on game. Now Our batch has almost international level carrom players, with suresh in the lead. This time the scene was reverse. All were coming to carroms instead of TT. Now i was unable to get chance to play carroms and eventhough if i got a chance, i have had to play only 3 to 4 rounds. Instead of waiting now i turned to TT which was almost empty. This time TT looked amazing. Playing by managing to place the ball only on table was a difficult task. But was too interesting. Now iam an average player. Facing some strong opponents has some what become comfortable, but need to reduce stress on mind. And already my colleagues are flirting (teasing) me. They given me "Intoto TT debut" award.
